Hi there ,my name is Lloyd Grice and i build small 1''1/4" long and 3/8" 0r .5" cores..I have experemented with low carbon steels but have heard that pure iron magnetizes and demagnetizes much faster than low carbon steels.I am trying to ensure quality in all my electromagnets and hope that useing pure iron cores can help me reach my goal to build the highest quality electromagnets....I would like to know how much a 12 foot 3/8 diameter rod would be sent to Canada..Niagara Falls Ontario..Thank you and hope to hear from you soon
